Review: Squirrel & Tiffin at FYCreatives

Squirrel & Tiffin

A well-attended private viewing took place between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday 13 February at FYCreatives, Church Street, Blackpool, of an exhibition of screen printing by Linzi Cason, director of Squirrel & Tiffin, hosted by Venn Projects and funded by Arts Council England.

The artwork is a study of screen print, photography and textiles. It runs until 7 March and is well worth going to see.

Squirrel & Tiffin has recently been funded by Arts Council England to enable Linzi to learn new printing skills, explore photography in the screen print format and host a number of workshops during the exhibition. The work you see here is the result of this study.

Linzi will be available during the exhibition at selected times and will be demonstrating various skills required in printing techniques, so feel free to pop in for a chat.

Garth Gratrix and Joseph Pegler, two of the trio who are Venn Projects, were on hand to facilitate at the private viewing, adding their enthusiasm and experience to support Linzi’s latest venture.  This little squirrel’s big adventure continues to unfold!

Squirrel & Tiffin will be running further informative Workshops on 19 and 26 February, and 5 March. Contact Linzi on the website for details.

The exhibition at FYCreatives on Church Street is open from Thursday 13 February to 7 March 2014. Opening times are Mon, Wed, Fri 10am-4:30pm. Please call 01253 477147 to confirm the gallery is open in advance if travelling long distances.
