What’s On This Weekend

Live Music in Blackpool

Vintage and Handmade Craft Fair

A Truly Scrumptious Craft Fair returns to Blackpool’s Winter Gardens this weekend after the hugely successful event in June of this year. The event is open from 10am through to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Altblackpool’s Fiona Jones gave us a great preview of what will be in store earlier this week.

Also part of the weekend will be a wide range of Singers, Dancers and Performers.

Here’s a short preview of a few of the acts:

Katie RyanSaturday 12pm

Singer/Songwriter from Preston who was recently reviewed by Ark Magazine:

“This girl isn’t driven by money, fame or glamour, but by a love of singing and performing. She wants to change people’s opinions on things and send out a message. This is the way music should be”.

Bill OrrickSaturday 2pm

Dark folk-pop with reverb-laden soaring vocals, soulful impassioned lyrics, and a penchant for strange chords on twangy guitars, set to self-made time-signatures.

Baxter Rose Saturday 3pm

A contemporary folk singer-songwriter from the hills of East Lancashire. A melody-laden blend of folk, country, and roots rock with hints of blues and soul.

Jamie BrewerSunday 2pm

Jamie is an acoustic guitarist who uses a variety of techniques to recreate a full band effect on one guitar, using a variety of tunings to provide rhythm parts, percussive elements and melodies from one guitar.  Having recently supported Jon Gomm, Jamie is one to look out for in the instrumental acoustic world.
