Now I like a good thriller, preferably with more twists and turns than someone on a roller coaster eating a bag of Curly-Wurly’s (yes, they used to be bigger in the old days), and the Grand Theatre is bringing Double Death to Blackpool so this tautly complex thriller is just the ticket.
Written by Simon Williams and produced by Talking Scarlett, this edge of your seat thriller looks to be more than deserving of its many rave reviews. I, for one, can’t wait to get stuck into what promises to be a cracking evening of criminal behaviour.
The plot is best described by the company themselves so as not to give any spoilers:
In an isolated house on the cliffs of north Cornwall the sibling rivalry between identical twins Max and Ashley Hennessy is coming to a murderous climax. They both know one of them must die.
Trapped in his wheelchair, Ashley knows the odds are now against him and he is in mortal danger – however, does DI Fergus believe him? Can he trust Nurse Malahide, who has been employed to protect him? Poor Lalla, the twins’ aunt, is torn between the two boys. Which of them is the victim and which is the psychopath?
Now if that doesn’t grab you as a story I don’t know what will. So book your tickets now and join the mystery.
Double Death runs from Thursday 11 September to Saturday 13 September. You can book your tickets at the box office on Church Street, by phoning 01253 290190 or via the website.
