Hairspray Is Sure To Hold Audience’s Attention

Hairspray at Blackpool Winter Gardens

September 2017 is guaranteed to have audiences at Blackpool Winter Gardens dancing the night away as smash hit musical Hairspray comes to town. The much acclaimed, international stage extravaganza will run at the Opera House from Monday 18 to Saturday 23 September 2017.

It’s Baltimore 1962 and Tracey Turnblad, a girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, is on a mission to follow her dreams and dance her way onto national TV.  Tracey’s audition makes her a local star and soon she is using her new found fame to fight for equality, bagging local heart throb Link Larkin along the way.  Featuring well-known songs such as ‘You Can’t Stop The Beat’ ‘Welcome to The 60’s’ and ‘Good Morning Baltimore’ to name a few, Hairspray is sure to delight audiences during Blackpool’s world famous Illuminations season.

Winter Garden’s Manager Michael Williams said “We are thrilled Hairspray is coming to the Winter Gardens next year, this is a fantastic feel-good show and one I am sure will be a great success in Blackpool.  Whether you’ve previously seen Hairspray on the stage of screen, or you’ve not seen it at all, it is a show which attracts a wide ranging audience and is suitable for all ages.”

Further details about the casting will be revealed soon.
