Fun in the Park with Wordpool Family Day 2018

Walking, talking trees; huge flying birds; giant spiders; theatre in suitcases; elephants and mice; stories and action; crafts; films; kayaking; dancing; singing; face and arm painting …….what more could you wish for on a sunny Saturday in Stanley Park in July?

Yes, it was 2018’s fabulous Wordpool Family Day – and what a great day it was!

Big Top Marvels and Mayhem Schools Project, the Flying Sun Birds, the puppetry of Adambara and Zhim, the walking trees, Aunty’s Pop Up Picture Show, SOS RescueShip’s Nixies, singalong with the Grand Theatre Community Chorus, clown faces in the Grundy’s Big Top,  circus skills with Blackpool Circus School, Blackpool Libraries Little Top Stories, the tales of Dan the Storyman,  arts and crafts with Family Learning and Seaside Stitchers, dance performances from FCYDC and Aspire Youth Dance Company. The Event is managed by the Arts Service and supported by Friends of Stanley Park, Heritage Blackpool, Left Coast, Blackpool Libraries, Parks Services, Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool Museum, Family Learning, Seaside Stitchers, Blackpool Sixth Form College, Aunty Social, CultureBlackpool.
