With April just around the corner Blackpool’s Caffe Dolce is seeking creative writers and poets to be part of it’s next exhibition. For those of a literary disposition Caffe Dolce invites you to take a look at the artwork set to be displayed upstairs, either in advance or throughout the month, and submit a short story or poem to accompany the piece. If you can’t wait until the preview evening on the 4 April to get started you can head over to Caffe Dolce’s Facebook page, browse their gallery of artwork and submit your written accompaniment today.
Throughout April the upstairs space will play host to combinations of artwork and poetry. Half of the space will be given over to Paul Harding and David Riley who have worked closely to create artwork alongside poetry inspired by each piece. On the other side of Caffe Dolce’s relaxed upstairs space visitors will be treated to a combination of imagery and words from David Neal and Nicola McKenna.
Downstairs at Blackpool’s artiest coffee bar there will be a selection of artwork from Ken and Kitty Clarke. With over 20 years experience in the wildlife photography industry and having travelled the length and breadth of the globe the duo have amassed an amazing array of natural history images that are sure to wow. In this exhibition the artwork will be highlighting the species found at Ranthambore National Park and a proportion of all Tiger images sold throughout the month will be donated to Panthera, leaders in wildcat conservation, to support conservation work to protect the Bengal Tiger in India.
The Caffe Dolce April exhibition opens with a preview evening on Thursday 4 April 2013 from 6pm. If you’d like to submit a poem or short story to accompany the artwork simply view the gallery and send your submission to the Caffe Dolce Facebook page as a message or hand it in to a member of staff.

There will also be a poetry reading on the 4th, the opening evening, I believe.
