It would appear that we’ve been under-utilizing the brand new Talbot Road car park. So much so, the councillors have decided to make it free for the next two weekends in order to entice drivers into its multi-layered, light-encrusted, glass-elevator-sporting, rooftop-view-boasting, electric-door-hatched palace of a parking spectacle.
Eileen Ormand, Blackpool’s Town Centre and BID Manager, said:
Talbot Road Car Park is an excellent high quality asset to the town centre car parking offer. Blackpool town centre has such a diverse variety of businesses, which includes retail and leisure and so much more. This offer is a perfect opportunity to pay a visit and see what all the fuss is about. Talbot Road Car Park is open from 7am until midnight and in addition to a daytime visit, is a perfect choice to leave your car whilst exploring the town in the evening. Take in a show in one of our fabulous theatres or try out one of the many restaurants in the town centre.
In light of this marvellous opportunity to hitch your wagon of choice for free this weekend and the next, we at altblackpool would love to know how you intend to use this boon. Will you be shopping and dropping, getting your caffeine and cake fix, walking on the tiddly om pom pom or seeking out the best local entertainment? What’s pulling you into our town centre this weekend?
